Every year, the Society of Czech Architects and Grohe organize a competitive festival, the Architect Grand Prix. In 2021, due to the covid pandemic, the festival needed to be held online.
Therefore, the team of organizers approached us with a challenge: “Create a web solution that will provide a live stream from the presentations of the nominated projects and ensure that the public votes for a winner“.
Our goal was to create a user-friendly website that presents a large amount of information.
An important aspect was the speed when loading content. Since there were roughly 900 photos on the site, we had to find an appropriate degree of optimization for them.
Through a voting system on the site, users selected the winner of the Grohe Architecture Public Vote Award. To enable Webflow to connect to the project database, we programmed a custom JavaScript application that handles the function of the voting forms.
Nearly a thousand architecture enthusiasts cast their votes on the Architects Grand Prix Festival website.
We designed the editorial system to streamline long-term management for the client as much as possible. Partners' logos and frequently asked questions are automatically distributed among individual subpages based on tags.
